WIN News for Sunflower Imaging Ballarat

National Centre for Photography – Ballarat

We were very excited to have the opportunity to photograph the opening of the National Centre for Photography (NCP) in Ballarat.

As photographers ourselves, it was particularly special to be there to capture the beginning of a new chapter for photography in our city. The beautifully restored historic Union Bank building has been transformed into a dedicated space for photography, bringing exhibitions, artists, education and the wider community together.

Our role was to document the event as it unfolded — from the opening and official proceedings through to the exhibitions, guests, artists and all those special interactions that made the day memorable. We wanted our photographs to tell the story of the occasion rather than simply record what happened.

At Sunflower Imaging, we love photographing events where there is genuine excitement and connection. We use our professional lighting and experience to create images that feel natural, energetic and polished, while still capturing the atmosphere of the day.

It was also wonderful to see photography being celebrated right here in Ballarat, and we were proud to be part of the opening of such an important new space for the arts.

We were also thrilled to see our photography featured in WIN News coverage of the National Centre for Photography. 📸

For us, photographing events isn’t just about taking pictures — it’s about capturing the people, atmosphere and little moments that tell the story of an important occasion.
