I have never been on the radio….!

VoiceFM Radio Interview – Barkly Hill, Ballarat

Being interviewed on @VoiceFM about our exhibition at @SHAC was great! It was a nervous but exciting first time for me to be interviewed by @merlehathaway. Merle was such a great interviewer, we felt like we had done this a thousand times!!! Thank goodness @judithbryce was there too. She has been a member for a few years and she is an amazing weaver too. I was one of her  guests on the next “Arts Insight” on Voice FM, 31 January, with fibre artist Judith Bryce.

Soldiers Hill Art Collective Art Exhibition – Art Space, Ballarat

The exhibition was opened for five weeks till Feb 18th. The local artists were rostered to be at the gallery to meet and greet the visitors. As for me, I thoroughly enjoyed it as I go t to know the other members and their work. It was a success as most of the artwork was also sold. We had about 500 people walk through and a few prominent Ballarat visitors came through too. MP Juliana Addison who has been a long time  supporter of the arts, MP Joe McCracken and Cr. Samantha MacIntosh.

Our next art exhibition will be Lydiard General where  you can come in for a good cuppa and food! For the month of March where we celebrate International Women’s Day, I will be putting my portraits of women that I have had the chance to photograph….It will also showcase our wedding portraits along with some landscape from Iceland, photographed from a helicopter. We invite you over to Lydiard General to have a look….
