We had the chance to be part of The heart Project at Monash Children’s Hospital for the first time this year. We were part of this project in 2022 but in Bairnsdale which was our introduction and warm up to this year’s event. It was such an honour to be part of the team which consist of photographers and photographic vendors which we have met at the Australian Photographic Prize when we first returned to Australia. The Heart Project, founded in January 2016, sees Karen using her compositing skills to give children with severe disabilities the wings to fly. The Heart Project, a joint partnership between Story Art and Adobe Australia is bringing hope worldwide to children and families through the power of photography. Every week I hear from struggling families, with heart wrenching stories. We want to help everyone that reaches out to us, but the reality is we can’t. But with your generosity this can change! Each contribution goes towards the next Heart Project, enabling us to cover the costs of production, artist fees (heavily discounted by the artists) and final presentation so that families in need do not need to pay a cent.
