Ludwigsburg Venetian Festival 2014
Last weekend we had the chance to visit the Venetian Festival in Ludwigsburg, Germany. This festival was created by Duke Carl Eugen in 1768 and is held in a big way once every two years over 3 days. I was amazed by the fantastic level of detail in the Venetian costumes, masks and make up that the performers put into preparing for this event. There are acts, comedians, acrobats, dancers, food, Venetian-Baroque period clothes, jewellery etc to be found there.
