Faroe Islands
Hi everyone,
Even though this site is mainly to exhibit our portrait photography, we also enjoy shooting Landscapes. What is there not to appreciate and value about our natural and beautiful World? There seems to be less and less of it. Every year we try to go on one workshop to improve our photography skills and learn something new. I think that it adds to our repertoire on top of meeting new people and places. Photographing people and landscape require such different skills. While a mountain will not move, a child can only be still for a minute – maybe. BAHAHA
We recently had a photography workshop on the Faroe Islands with Peter Cox and Steve Gosling. Both are exceptional instructors and have very different styles of photography and driving skills (ahem:)) Thanks to them, I have learnt so much on this workshop as well as managed to get really good shops…no, I mean shots! Check out their websites to get an idea of their photographic styles. We must admit that we are not videographers and hence, the unHollywoodish epic video but we hope you enjoyed it. The charter of the helicopter was with Atlantic Airways, our first time using the Faroese airlines. The man who strapped me in, God bless his soul, could not stop laughing. This did not help!

The Islands with its sheer cliffs, fjords, abundance of waterfalls which drop straight into the sea most times and sheep (which I think outnumber the locals) can be quite a challenging and impressive place to photograph due to its ever changing weather. Just like Melbourne, one can experience sun, rain, wind and snow in one day.
The Faroe Islands…for now, undiscovered and unspoilt, is true to its word. And I would want it that way for all Eternity.
Hullo Leute
