Beauty Portraits – Ballarat

It has been awhile since I posted as we have been busy setting up our new home!

This is from a beauty shoot I did a while back for a lady who did not know how amazing her transformation was. We photograph all ages and I am sure that we can show everyone their beauty. Age should not be a barrier and that all of us should learn to be positive, inquisitive and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow. I love having such people in front of the camera and to be honoured to let them shine in our studio….

Beauty Portraits – Hair, Makeup and Outfits consultation – Ballarat

With hair and makeup done by a professional makeup artist who has been working in the commercial world of fashion, I could not deny that this was going to be a magical photoshoot.

We had three looks altogether. I had a modern and elegant look in mind, a day look and a Gatsby styled look. Thank goodness I had a wardrobe to complement the look. After discussing the look with the client, I created a few mood boards and colours to create the visual story for the shoot. This also included the lighting that created the third dimension.

Portrait photography is not just clicking the button … it is taking the time to design the whole look while working with the HMUA and client to ensure that I am on the right track.

This is what we do as professional photographers . We do not slap a filter on the photo… we curate each photograph with the attention it deserves…. There are a few days of background work and scouting…,
